Terms of use

Last updated: November 7, 2026

By creating an account or using learning-excel, you accept these terms. They describe the service, the free and Premium plans, payments and the rules of use.

1. The service

learning-excel, published by Sinclair Eric, is an interactive Excel course: lessons in a spreadsheet simulator, projects you upload and have graded by an artificial intelligence, and a signed certificate. Excel is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation; learning-excel is neither affiliated with nor endorsed by Microsoft.

2. Your account

You must be at least 15, or have a parent’s permission. The information you give must be accurate. Keep your password secret: you are responsible for what is done with your account, which is personal and not to be shared.

3. Free and Premium plans

The first two lessons and the first project are free. The Premium plan gives access to every lesson, the other three projects and the certificate, as well as the lessons we add. What the plan includes may change.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are those shown on the plans page at the time of payment, monthly or annual. Card payments are processed by Stripe, in US dollars. Mobile money payments are processed by PawaPay, in your country’s currency, at the price shown for that country. We never receive your card details or your phone number.

5. Duration, renewal and cancellation

  • Card: the subscription renews automatically every month or year until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from your profile: it stays active until the end of the period already paid, then does not renew.
  • Mobile money: the payment is prepaid and covers one month or one year; it never renews by itself. We email you a reminder before it ends so you can pay again.

A period that has started is not refunded, subject to what follows.

6. Refunds

You can ask for a refund of your first payment within the following 14 days, by email to sinclair@learning-excel.com. This does not remove the rights the law gives you in your country.

7. Promo codes

A promo code gives a discount on the first payment, once per person, within its validity period and number of uses. It cannot be combined with another code and may be disabled in case of abuse.

8. Projects, grading and certificate

Each project has a deadline from the moment you start it and a limited number of uploads. The grade, out of 100, combines automatic checks and the judgment of an artificial intelligence: it is indicative and can contain mistakes. A project is passed at 70/100.

The certificate is issued and signed by Sinclair Eric once all four projects are passed. It certifies your work on learning-excel; it is not a state diploma. It may be revoked in case of fraud.

9. Your content

You remain the owner of the workbooks you upload. You allow us to store them, analyze them (including with an artificial intelligence) and have the owner review them, for the sole purpose of grading your projects and issuing the certificate. Do not upload confidential data, other people’s personal data, or files with macros.

10. Rules of use

  • No sharing or reselling access, and no mass copying of the lessons.
  • No attempt to cheat the grading or payments, or to get around the limits (attempts, deadlines, Premium access).
  • No harm to the site’s operation or to other users.

If these rules are broken, we may suspend or delete an account.

11. Intellectual property

The lessons, projects, texts, images and the site’s software are protected. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable right of use.

12. Availability and liability

We do our best to keep the site available and accurate, without being able to guarantee it is uninterrupted or error-free. Within the limits allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, or for what results from using the course outside its purpose.

13. Personal data

See the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

14. Changes and contact

We may change these terms; the date at the top of the page shows the latest version, and important changes are announced to you. For any question: sinclair@learning-excel.com.
