Why it works

You don't learn Excel by watching someone else use it

A real Excel simulator

Type your formulas and shortcuts into a spreadsheet that behaves like Excel, right in the browser. Nothing to install.

One skill at a time

Each lesson takes a few minutes and covers a single idea. You move on once the previous one has sunk in.

Points, streaks and a mascot

Earn XP, keep your streak and let Cellie cheer your wins: you come back every day without forcing yourself.

How it works

From your first formula to a full dashboard

  1. 1

    Read the task

Cellie gives you the goal in one sentence.

  2. 2

    Practice in the sheet

Type the formula or shortcut asked for, just like in Excel.

  3. 3

    Check and move on

A mistake? A hint helps. A win? Points and confetti.

  4. 4

    Apply it in a project

Put your skills to work on dashboards and an interview-style assessment.

Practice Excel instead of watching videos

Training videos put you to sleep: you zone out, rewind, and forget everything as soon as they end. Here, every idea is practiced right away. You type the formula, use the shortcuts on your own keyboard and repeat until the move becomes a reflex.

A 100% online Excel simulator

Practice Excel right in your browser: formulas, functions and keyboard shortcuts are trained in our simulator, with nothing to install. If you prefer, downloadable practice sheets and projects let you work in Excel itself too.

Excel, an edge for your career

Finance, accounting, data analysis, consulting: almost every job that handles numbers expects you to use a spreadsheet, and many recruiters give an Excel test. Mastering formulas, lookups and pivot tables saves you time, and people notice.

Excel exercises for beginners and experts

Never written a sum before? The course starts with simple functions to build a solid base, then grows harder with new concepts, shortcuts and advanced functions. There is always one more Excel skill to learn.

FAQ

Your questions, our answers

Do I need to install Excel to follow the exercises?

No. The exercises run in an Excel simulator in your browser. Downloadable files are offered on top if you want to practice in Excel itself.

I have never used Excel. Where do I start?

At the beginning! The course starts from the basics (cells, first formulas) and gets harder step by step. You move to the next idea once the previous one has sunk in.

Are the formulas in my language?

Yes. Function names and separators follow your version of Excel: SUM in English, SOMME in French, SUMME in German, SUMA in Spanish. In Japanese or Chinese, Excel keeps the English names, and so do we.

How long does it take to finish the course?

A lesson takes a few minutes. With five to ten minutes a day, you get through the basics in a few days, then the advanced topics at your own pace.

Is it free?

You can start for free. Some projects and the interview assessment are part of the Premium plan.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes, a certificate of completion is planned for when all the lessons are done.
